For those not familiar, currently, MIA is surrounded by massive road projects designed to make accessing the airport by car and public transit much easier. Metrorail is being extended to facilitate that goal as well. New exits, entrances and ramps between 836, Le Jeune Road and the perimeter road are opening every few weeks now. It's bound to be somewhat confusing until all the signage is installed and the projects are complete likely towards the end of 2011.
MIA, and the State of fl really need to work on their road contracting, TX went to a reward or penalty type system for construction projects that has made the time and budgeting to be much more accurate. The entire Miami metro is in a continual state of road construction and the roads that were completed 1 year ago are already being torn up, town down, having sink holes etc.
Seems the contractors are just scamming the govt because they won't dare hold them accountable.
