The newly opened entering roadway consists of five or six lanes initially which splits four??/two to the South/North Terminal area.

Your post is not 100% accurate either. Coming from South Beach, on 836 headed westbound, if you follow the signs to the airport and exit at 37th, it still narrows to one lane after you turn left on NW 21st St.
If you exit at LeJune Road (which very conveniently does NOT have a sign for the airport), you have the 2 lanes.
