You should be ok, I flew with someone with the surname Mcdonald and the ticket was spelt Macdonald. I e-mailed Flying Club who confirmed that up to three letter were ok.

I printed off the e-mail from VS that it would be ok, just in case I ran into any difficulties at check in.

However, it was fine with no mention of the error.
