1. DOH! I think that must be why the fare is so high. Yes--I think my TA did include the surcharge into the calculation.

2. Thanks for the info. I guess that's pretty useless for me, esp. since SYD-BKK is still another 8-10 hours.

3. You know, I really wouldn't mind spending the night in SIN so I can take the 380 or the 773 (?--I think it's 777-300ER?, SQ's new 777 planes) but: 1. I need to maximize my time in KUL and 2. They both arrive late in SIN that I can't really even do anything in SIN except to sleep.
