After years with Hertz as a 5 star member National is now my primary car company with Hertz as the back up. I have never needed to use Hertz though

Take a car any car drive off the lot. Stop at the gatehouse show them your drivers license and then your off. Half the time you get an estimated bill back with your license when you leave half the time you do not. You have a "master" contract on file.

I find the executive ailse to be the easiest rental out there. I rent mostly in the west SEA PDX LAX SAN SNA SJC DEN SLC ABQ PHX BOI. FWIW I rent 4-5 days a week each individual rentals.

After you reach exec elite you get a free day after each 5 rentals. So its easy to earn useful rewards.
