I'm glad to see this... the last time I bumped, I was rudely told that UA would have picked another volunteer if they knew I was going to make unreasonable demands.
(I did get the voucher in the end, by the way, and then a second one when I volunteered again on the next flight... that time they just forked over a larger voucher and said nothing.)
