I'm looking to have a backup to Hertz, "just in case". I believe I've narrowed the choices down to Avis or National. The primary reason I prefer Hertz is Gold #1 Club, and Gold Canopy Service. If a rental company doesn't have prepared rental agreements, then I'm inclined not to use them. I'm not 5* yet, so upgrades aren't really a plus or concern. I'm getting good at CDPs/PCs/RQs, so rentals of Prestige and Fun is almost the same cost as full-size/etc.

So... in regards to prepared checkout, canopy-service/car-waiting, frequent-rental rewards, etc, what's everyone's brief take on Avis and/or National, when compared to Hertz?
