The ferry through the Gulf Islands to Tswassen

With a car you might also drive to the newer terminal south of Nanaimo and take the ferry to Horseshoe Bay and approach Vancouver via the Lions Gate Bridge.
The Duke Point ferry only goes to Tsawwassen, and is more prone to cancellation in case one of the other routes has a breakdown (they take a ferry from this route as the other routes are shorter). The ferries to Horseshoe Bay only leave from Departure Bay just
north of Nanaimo.
