Well, I went to the TSA web site to see if there was any info on this. I couldn't find anything, but I did see this gem:

It's a sad state of affairs when they have to give guidance like this.....
It is really sad. Hopefully the addition of this directive was prompted as a result of someone actually trying it..... but it probably was.
