I wasn't aware 50k-100k'ers on AA could get lounge access. I know some who are ExPlat on AA - and I mentioned them of the lounge access that I got and they said they didn't get it on theirs. They went ahead and bought Admiral's Club cards. Guess I'll have to break the news to them lightly. I rarely fly domestic so it's moot for me to buy RCC cards.
From LAX to FRA, LHR, NRT - UA has consistently been lower in price. Very seldomly do I see AA's prices being lower. On Travelocity, UA's consistently lower than most compared to AA.
As for status, I just don't like mine watered down. It's merely a personal opinion of mine. I don't like having my rewards diluted. AA has far more Million Milers - due to the fact AA also factors in bonus miles. That's what I meant by having it watered down.
