Not entirely true.
The JNB route usually has the 77W (unless they downgauge for operational reasons) and only some of the 77W have the NEV3, which is indeed pretty good.
The remaining have the NEV2 which, like the Slippery Slope Seats in all KL 772's and A332 and most MD11 and 774's are pretty bad.
I read a quote from an Executive VP of AF/KL that all KL aircraft will have the NEV3 by 2011. And AF/KL is jointly working on version 4 (full flat).
