Thanks for this, as I realize that I incorrectly stated how WN handles refunding fare differences. The amount goes back as a CREDIT associated with your record locator. You have up to a year from the date of original purchase to use it on WN travel.
I think this is a nice compromise. Customer friendly, yet the money stays with WN, and hopefully encourages future travel with the airline.
