That's just the comment I was hoping for. I'll now try to book 3 class A flights in A class (in SE Asia and SW Pacific) and then move to 2 class flights with D if the timings don't work out.

But, I'll take on board your point Dave Noble about First in LA AKL-SYD being not worth the trouble.
