I was scheduled to fly LAX-IAD-PHL on Saturday but decided to switch to a LAX-PHL non-stop later in the day (lost some miles but got to have lunch with a friend and upgrade the flight. ^) I went up to a CS agent at LAX to get on the standby list, and she asked if I wanted to confirm the upgrade for $50. Since the 757 only had 60 people on it, I said I preferred to just standby for free.
The agent then said, "Mr. FBKSan, I see you're premier executive. Let me see if there's anything in your profile that would allow me to confirm you on that flight." She (presumably) pulls up my profile and starts reading. After what felt like a long time (a good 2 minutes at least), she stops reading, prints out a DM card and hands it over. Apparently my profile isn't up to snuff.
Anyone know what she meant by the profile comment? That's a direct quote, but maybe I misinterpreted her meaning. What's
in that profile anyway? Either the CS is a slow reader or mine's approaching book length!
