A couple of biggies in here - and a nasty one as well.
Changes that I've been able to pick up on this release compared to last release.

Effective 01 MAY 2008 :
STAR ALLIANCE CIRCLE PACIFIC

No more than 16 coupons per itinerary.
(Surface sectors and multi-airport cities require a coupon).

FLIGHT APPLICATION -
A surface segment crossing of either the North/Central Pacific, South
Pacific or Asia to Sth West Pacific is permitted, with the mileage for said segment calculated in the total itinerary mileage.

ADVANCE RESERVATION/TICKETING -
Abolished - the 3 day advance purchase for origin New Zealand/French Polynesia/the Cooks/Fiji/New Caledonia/Tonga.
All origin countries now require 7 days advance purchase.

BOOKING CLASSES -
This is nasty! The lower classes required mean less availability options.

BUSINESS CLASS -
For AC NZ UA US - you will now book Z class.

ECONOMY CLASS -
For all carriers you will now book H class.
Exception - AC book Q.
Exception - NH (International) & SQ book M. (Added since original)

STOPOVERS -
Abolished - the exception for Sth West Pacific origin at 2 stopovers minimum.
All origin countries now require 3 minimum stopovers.

Abolished - the requirement for stopovers to be at International Gateways only for origin of New Zealand.

TRANSFERS -
Change of wording for origin of Japan and New Zealand. Used to be "per direction". New wording is -
"For travel commencing Japan/New Zealand only two domestic transfers permitted in the country of origin.

BNE and OOL are now considered one city.

SURCHARGES - (Added since original)
Rather than listing all their flights applicable for 773ER/A380 surcharge, SQ have now broken down the surcharge into regions/routes.
New Wording as follows :
"The surcharge as shown below will be levied on Business Class CPF passengers travelling on SQ B773ER and A380 services. NOTE - This includes the SQ operating B773ER/A380 services marketed under the flight numbers of the Star Alliance members (where applicable).

SQ A380/B773ER BUSINESS CLASS Q SURCHARGE LIST -
SIN - AMERICAS (VIA PA) - USD600.00
KOREA - AMERICAS (Via PA) - USD500.00
SIN - STH WEST PACIFIC - USD400.00
SIN - KOREA/JAPAN/SE ASIA - USD300.00
Infants not occupying a seat - no charge. Infants occupying a seat - no discount."

A345 NONSTOP SIN-LAX SQ37/38 :
"SQ A345 services will be converted gradually to full Business Class service between May 2008 and September 2008. The A345 Economy Plus surcharge will thus be offered only on flights where Economy class is still available."

CHILDREN/INFANT DISCOUNTS -
Child and Infant discounts now only apply if accompanied by an adult in the same cabin. New wording reads -
"Child and or Infant must be accompanied on all travel sectors in the same cabin by Star Alliance Circle Pacific fare Adult passengers paying the full Star Alliance Circle Pacific fare.
