Check out stores like www.rei.com and www.mec.ca where they sell light weight anf fast drying clothes (in case you need to wash them by hand).

As I said in my previous post, clothes are cheap in Thailand and China so you could pick up as you go. They will serve as good souvenirs.

Be conscious to dress appropriately for certain temples in Bangkok and Tokyo.
