$50 or even $100 more is a small price to pay to avoid a stop over in the U.S. especially on the return trip, where you have to recheck your bags as well as change terminals. It's about 4.5 hours compared to AS's fastest at 6 hours and it leaves at 11:00 a.m. a rather civilized time.
