My wife and I flew LAX - NRT/return in Executive (Business) Class last month. On the outbound flight First & Business were on the Main Deck and the Upper Deck was configured for Coach Class. We had "Magic-1" on that flight. On the return, we were seated in J in a 744 with the Upper Deck configured for that Class and we had "Magic-2!"

Also, on other JAL Asian flights to/from NRT in Business Class we have had only Magic 1 or 2, never 3!

My advice is that you should take some movie DVD's to play in your computer or a good, thick book... JAL's "Magic" entertainment system is definitely turdsville! JAL should take a wand and make "Magic" disappear! IMHO the best entertainment systems across the Pacific are on Qantas!
