Oh. And to then blow the budget. Two doors down is Kuhio Ice Cream. They have ice cream from Dave's. I guess something local. It was good! A little over $9 for two cones. Kinda expensive. My wife paid.
Michael: We again spent 7 nights in Honolulu in January and found Yanagi Sushi a real find, going there twice. Here is there URL
http://www.yanagisushi-hawaii.com/ We tried most other highly rated sushi bars, and thought this was the best by far. A lot of the fish comes in from Tsukiji.
The restaurant is located at 762 Kapiolani, and we would recommend that if you and your wife choose to go, you should make reservations. We sat at the inside sushi bar, and got special attention from one of the Japanese (now Hawaiian) sushi chefs. The drive takes about 10 minutes from your hotel, and there is street parking on a narrow street running along the side and behind the restaurant.
Sounds like inflation has set in for parking the car at the Sheraton, as we paid the $14. Have fun.
