That's true. And I have heard of airline check-in staff getting sniffy about a citizen of an EU country wanting to fly from outside the EU to an EU country other than the country of citizenship (e.g. a British citizen flying from the US to France) without an onward ticket to the "home country" (in this case, the UK). One would have thought that the training given to the check-in staff would enable them to know that this was acceptable. Has anyone else heard of this happening, or had it happen?
