Anyone having trouble with EEO certs printed from home?
I personally have not had a problem with these, though I am sure the amount flying around Ebay is going to cause some to second think how these are handled.
My current issue is I just passed on one to a friend, made the reservation for her, and called it in to make sure it was noted that an EEO was being used.
When she got to Atlanta to check in, she called me in a panic, saying they wouldn't accept it, told her she needed the kind printed on the glossy paper as these weren't real certificates. I told her to call them back, tell them that Platinum members are allowed to print them out from their computer, and that I had just used the regular Marriott one in DC last weekend (this is a Renaissance) also told her to ask them to call Marriott Rewards customer service if they had any questions. Anybody else run into this? I mean if they will read the certficate itself, it says this is a certificate for 2nd night free, and that it is transferable. She is on a limited budget and panicked over having to pay full price for 2 nights. I guess if they keep giving her the runaround I will have to call the front desk myself.
