White House Was Flight 93 Target

The United Airlines plane hi-jacked by terrorists after it left Newark Airport, on September 11 last year, was intended to crash into the White House, a captured al-Qaeda prisoner has told US investigators.

According to a CNN report, the information has come from Saudi Arabian-born Abu Zubaydah, who was taken captive in Pakistan last March. He is believed by US officials to have been a senior aide to Osama bin Laden.
