My choice would be to sit across the aisle from each other. No neck stretching or twisting that way.

The new suites aren't ideal for people who are travelling together, but if you're planning to sleep during the flight I think you'll really like them. The standup bar area is nice when you want a change from your seat, or to stretch/meet up in without having an aisle between you.
