This thread title is just plain wrong. The man was not kicked off the plane for praying. He was kicked off for not taking his seat when instructed to do so. It didn't matter whether he was praying, singing, dancing or jazzercising.

The FAs and pilots are trying to keep to schedules. The last thing they need is passengers who refuse to sit down when it's time to push back.
