I think it rather unlikely there is anything sinister about it. OLCI quite often has glitches of one kind or another. My advice is the following:
- If you have BA status or otherwise have an advance seat assignment, don't worry about it at all.
- If you don't have an advance seat assignment, try periodically online to see if the problem has gone away, but don't lose any sleep over it. It's only a little flight to Zurich. It's annoying when it doesn't work (I've been annoyed enough in the past) but if you're worrying a lot about it, then the rest of your life must be running very smoothly indeed so you should congratulate yourself.
When OLCI didn't work for me from LCY, the plane was only about 25% full.
