i think you'd be better off with 2 seats, one behind the other. although there is a divider that can be lower between center seats, it seems awkward to me when people try to converse across the chasm...

4D and 5D would still allow proximity and the ability to get up and have face time without having to go through a galley to the other side of the plane...
