In outlook 2007 you should be able to show the meeting request pane and the calendar pane at the same time, and you can just drag the itinerary across to the calendar. Look at the left side of the calendar and there should be a list of meeting requests that you can check on or off, and delete. Probably an unncessary brute force solution to a simple problem, but never understimate microsoft's ability to make a simple task complex.
