It appears that I might be the only one to buy WBC or First seats. Bizperks is the primary reason for me as I can leverage WBC purchase ticket cost into guaranteed domestic upgrades.

After Bizperk value, tax deduction and earned miles we virtually fly personelly for free. The reason this works is because NW makes mileage and bizperks upgrades available in abundance and makes them easy to find on their website.

If bizperks or the ease of finding domestic mileage upgrades goes by the wayside in the merger I will still likely fly Delta if they have the best routes for my travel plans but I will not look at them first as I do now on NWA/KLM.

As a silver, I don't rely on free domestic upgrades. I prefer a "bird in the hand".
