I'm flying to Dalaman with Turkish Air and may buy a few 'magic' carpets to bring back home.

After finding nothing on their website about excess baggage fees, I called them and was told that anything over 30 kgs. will cost 7.00 Euros per kilo in excess baggage fees.

I've heard second-hand that another flyer with carpets in-tow actually produced a letter at check-in from Turkish Airlines waiving any excess fees.

I'd really like to know where I can get one for me! Failing that, any advice would be appreciated.
