Yes, but the article says starting on June 1st. An announcement should have been made by now, probably around January time to allow for ticket sales. Second, is there even any spare LGW capacity this summer & third - why start Portland flights when places like Vegas are well known to be a destination on the radar?!

Whilst formerly GB Airways A320 family aircraft may have complicated things a bit, are their any A320 engineering staff. The current Gatwick Airbus ops are Heathrow based birds cycled through Edinburgh or something...? Do they get there own engineering staff?

That's probably because Virgin flogs around 350 seats in economy on each flight. Apparently they run out of all booze onboard before they're in US airspace...
