Thanks for the advise guys.

I ended up checking upgrade availability on Expert Flyer and reserved in Q. 3 of the 4 segments had upgrade availability, which is the best i could find for the dates i needed.

When i called the Gold Desk, the lady upgraded me on the outbound A & C w/o mentioning anything about the Q fare. I'm confirmed on the 763 to Miami and the Airbus to Lima.

She put me on a wait list for the return flight because the Lim-Mia flight had no upgrade avail, however the 763 Mia-Lax had several A's. She said they would call me once the C became available.

I'm going to be proactive and continue to check EF everyday to see if C opens up. My trip is almost 2-months away, so I'm pretty confident that a C will come available at some point.

All in all... things went well. I'm glad i was able to upgrade on a Q fare. Thanks again...
