Live in LA but have stayed in all of the mentioned hotels. Agree completely with above quote.
Bel Air is for a quiet secluded stay, yet within walking (well, jogging) distance of UCLA, 5 minutes by car to Westwood, 5+ to Beverly Hills.
Wife and kid had lunch two weeks ago at the BH Hotel Polo Lounge. Tom Cruise and wife were working the room. Not untypical.
Would you prefer the beach? Shutters at the end of Pico in Santa Monica.
[And as others have pointed out, avoid FS and RC, ditto the Beverly Wilshire.]
