You can make changes to a Tango+ ticket any time for $40 plus fare difference. So in your care you could change to the Latitude ticket for $40.

But your reservation would be for the 3pm departure.

Also, the $500 would remain non-refundable. You would be allowed to standby, make free changes (plus fare difference if not same-day), use SWU/NAU upgrades if possible, stand-by for other flights, and so on.

If those are the prices and you want the 3pm flight in Latitude, why not just buy the Latitude ticket in the first place?
