Not what I saw
I just read the first message here and skimmed. I was also on this flight and there is only half a story. It seems you are speaking of a completely different person to what I witnessed in the back galley.
The passenger in question was aggressive and threatening. He was swearing and pushing the 2 crew at the rear. Not only was the seatbelt sign on, but the aircraft was next in line for departure. I overheard the crew member giving the facts to the commander and from that the captain made the correct decision. He endangered his own safety and that of the crew. He had already caused a delay as the cabin was unsecure and would have had to return to queue. The actual time of departure was then before the ATC slot change that he had already caused by unsecuring the cabin and staggering all the way to the rear. He also made threats to the passengers in the back row. For everyone's safety he was offloaded. When he was near me, he did stink of alcohol and was not a pleasant character at all. The crew showed good standards of managing someone who was aggressive in that fashion, despite him being twice the size of the 2 crew members. I'm glad he wasn't allowed to remain on the flight.
Will give him his dues though. He handled his offloading with grace. Perhaps it was regret of his actions and the foolish realisation of his immature behaviour.
Moral of the story for me was use a safe time to use the facilities. Respect rules, regulations and the crew that ensure our safety and enjoy a drink, but respect my own self and don't act like a drunken idiot! Plenty of drinking time to be had when I reach my destination!
