I have tried some various options with this code, and one that works very well is for one person, YVR-MEX on Continental, or SEA-MEX on AA, for 7 nights. With the code, somehow the combined flight and the cheapest hotel, which seems decent and is reasonably well-located and includes breakfast, cost only about $50 more than the flight by itself. This is true for July 16-23, but I think I also tried other dates. For example, for one person, the price for YVR-MEX + 7 days was $572, and the fare on Continental is about $520.

With two people, the price for YVR-MEX + 7 days was $546 per person.

Slightly lower prices, but the same approximate ratios, apply for SEA-MEX.

I really enjoyed MEX - very worth seeing. I would happily go again, although I'm not sure how summer weather is there (I think it's the rainy season). If I had more vacation time left, I'd be very tempted (actually I still am tempted).
