I did understand this as the issue, and it works fine for an initial choice of outbound date to, as suggested, December. Then it brings up December for the return. No worries. Now, I change my outbound date to November. The tool, following the same pattern, would now change the return month to November, losing whatever I had set in December...which I may have wanted. This sort of second-guessing was decried previously. It works OK with the initial outbound selection, but has issues when outbound changes are made.

By the way- I would prefer that it work exactly this way, and have found it annoying that I have to scroll out to the same month in both outbound and return. I'm just saying that when something like this was done on the AA.com website, there were complaints here. Not from me, though
