To partly answer myself (!) and for info for others, I have found one code CDP 618583 which is a 10% discount if you pay using Visa. CDP 569608 if paying with Mastercard.

Using this brings my rental down to £136 for 11 days which isn't bad. At that rate I can basically get a Compact at about the same price I was going to get an Economy.
