I fully AGREE that your AA number is remembered as it is stored in a cookie.
That's what the remember my AA number check box is for.
Your login session, however, is lost when you close your browser. There is no option to keep you logged in between browser sessions.

The option to store login details on firefox is great, but you still need to log in (GO button) when you open a new browser. There is no way around it.
