Both usairways.com and EF do this, although I'm not sure if it's with that particular technology. I find it quite annoying, personally, especially on us.com, which does not accept 3-letter airport codes. The timing of the popup on EF also used to be such that if you were trying to enter codes quickly, you'd end up with the wrong airport spelled out, however, their recent site modification seems to have fixed this and I have no trouble entering the 3-letter codes.
