However, I have experienced some very friendly and social ground staff with LH, that were bending the rules if it was not an unreasonable request, and sometimes even acting in my best interest without any request at all (I think I gave an example in another post).

Doing the right thing and acting according to the rules sometimes just does not have the same result. Canīt criticise someone for following rules, but I can praise those who do the right thing.
