Stopover occurs if it's:
> 24 hours on an international ticket
> 4 hours on a domestic ticket.
So you're techinically on an international ticket on your way to SIN.
You just need to explain to the agent at check in that you're stopping for < 24 hours on your way to SIN (international) so no need for an extra SWU. Nothing on the SWU saids that you have to be on 1 ticket. It covers origin to destination which is DFW - SIN in your case. If the agent gives you a hard time, get technical with them.
