My degree is in communication but I mentioned it to the OP since I have met many people over the past 2 years that had degrees/backgrounds in the med/bio field. Another option, if you're not as interested in pharma would be any other market research. There is research for a wide variety of consumer products (ie: cars, music, coke vs. pepsi, credit cards, etc.) As is the case with many things, I don't know if it matters entirely what one's degree is in just about being in the right place at the right time and showing enthusiasm.
