As a flight attendant, I've never busted the chops of anyone who innocently "forgets" to turn off their phone.... heck, it has happened to me more than a few times.

What DOES get my britches all bunched up is a persons refusal to comply with the rule..... eg.... "sir, please turn off your laptop at this time" and then 3-4 minutes later you walk by and they're still clacking away. They've not forgotten, they've obviously refused..... or at best, forgotten to play by the rules.

That is just my view from the jumpseat....
