Yes, I agree. My main point was that there is probably a strong net plus to have the HQ in Atlanta--even on top of the importance of the hub to the operation. For instance, if DL had been forced to merge with US Air with the HQ in Phoenix, or with UA in Chicago (as examples), I would view that as a net negative, even with the hub obviously remaining. Maybe it wouldn't make any difference--I just like knowing the corporate folks are also here and somewhat invested in the city. And, BTW, how could anyone not be right now (unless they suffer from allergies) with the absolute riot of colors--greens. whites. reds, yellows, pinks, lavenders, etc--truly spectacular.
