I was only given this classification once, at LGW N on a Sunday afternoon when domestic used to be wholly segregated. No bags to check but I was just on board before they closed the door!

Thing is Adrian, I guess the removal of the classification has been largely moot with print your own boarding pass. It's the fact they won't let you through security at less than T-35 now that's the issue and this is probably being mis-represented/mis-quoted in the research note.
