I used a CO buddy pass a few months ago. I was never given an opportunity to enter my OnePass. Also, when the BP printed out, the PNR was printed in the area where my OnePass would go. Not sure if US does the same thing.
When you fly non-rev - whether as an employee, parent or use a buddy-pass, you are not associated with ANY status (premier, elite, silve, gold, etc. You are flying on a discounted ticket (normally not too much cheaper than a confirmed seat) and are subject to the rules and regulations therein. Don't even try to mention your status when you are flying non-rev: it is irrelevant and usually upsets the ticket agent. As for the baggage allowance, employees are not charged for overweight or additional luggage but for pass riders, I don't know. I never really gave any buddy passes out unless I flew with them. It is really up to each agent you come in contact with as to whether or not you get charged for additional baggage. Hope this helps.
