Who makes operational choices?
Just curious...

I'm on 935 from LAX to HNL that has been delayed from 4:55 to 10pm. Apparently the flight going to OGG had a mechanical and they "gave" our aircraft to the OGG flight. It's no sweat off my back because I live close to LAX and get to spend a little more time with my family, but who would make the call to delay our flight by "gifting" our aircraft to the OGG flight?
