I'll try to add my personal observations to help out.

1. Technology & Obselescence
Our IT department has been working day after day to upgrade the system. In the near future the kiosks will handle standby requests, EML upselling, changing tickets and some other items. They are constantly looking for ways to upgrade the booking engine and website to allow for future codeshare deals that may come our way. They have also done some amazing work on our end for the crewmembers to make our life a little easier. We've come a long way since 02/14/2007 in making sure we can be flexable when it comes to irregular operations.

2. High Fuel Prices
A challenging feat to overcome for every airline. We are looking for more ways to increase revenue to overcome the fuel bill with out raising ticket prices too much. The EML Sections and the forthcoming elimination of the free is going to help greatly. We are also focusing more on the business traveler and looking for ways to get them onboard with us. The introduction of Refundable Fares is just the start. We are positioning ourselves to try and weather the storm the best we can. Aircraft are being sent of profitable routes, older aircraft are being sold off, and nonprofitable stations are facing shut down because of the high fuel prices. Route Planning is taking a close look at any new city and its possibility to turn a profit quicker.

3. Future Growth
Don't look for a major expansion anytime soon. The management team is closely watching the domestic market for any new possibilities. We need to send planes where money is to be made. We will grow but with more point-to-point between existing cities.
