I have to say, 98% of my AF and KL flights are credited within 48 hours as well, the credit appears at a bit before midnight the following day. The problem is that some flights do not credit and it seems to become almost impossible to get the missing miles credited. I agree with you that the automatic credit, when it works, is better than M&M.
