I don't have the experience to know if Houston Indian food is the best in the US, but we do have a large Indian/Indian-American community here. The food at places where I'm the only non-Indian tastes pretty good to me. ^

Are these Manhattan places mentioned either of the upscale variety or the been-here-for-40-years variety? I find it unlikely that an authentic, moderately-priced Indian joint would open its doors in Manhattan...
